Corrections: Kate Bonney's mother name was Rutha West(which has been changed below). Aunt Kate did not have two daughters as the obit reads, but rather one daughter and one son Faye A. Bonney. Aunt Kate's parents are both buried in the Camp Creek Cemetery, Lane County Oregon.

BONNEY -- Kate M. Bonney of 788 West 6th Avenue, Eugene died November 14, 1976. She was born February 2, 1889 in Camp Creek, Lane County, Oregon of pioneer parents, William and Rutha West who moved to Oregon in 1886. Mother of Fay Bonney and Juanita Bertsch and a grandson, Richard Fay Bonney all of Eugene; a great-granddaughter, Chantal Bonney of Glendale, California; a step-grandson, Melvin Nilsen and 2 step-great-grandchildren, Matthew and Erica Nilsen all of Portland. She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Royal Neighbors; Rebekah Lodge; Pythian Sisters and Ladies of the Elks. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 17, at 2 p.m. in LOUNSBURY-MUSGROVE FUNERAL CHAPEL. Reverend Benny Boling officiating. Concluding services Lane Memorial Gardens. Flowers are welcome or contributions may be made to the Cancer Society or the Kaufman Center in her memory in care of the Chapel.

A funeral will be Wednesday for Kate Bonney, 87, of 788 W. Sixth Ave., a lifetime Lane County resident and daughter of pioneer parents. She died Sunday.

Mrs. Bonney's parents, William and Rutha West, moved to Oregon in 1886, and she was born three years later at Camp Creek.

She was a member of the First Christian Church, Royal Neighbors, Rebekah Lodge, Pythian Sisters and Ladies of the Elks.

Surviving are two daughters, Fay Bonney and Juanita Bertsch, and one grandson, Richard Fay Bonney, all of Eugene; a great-granddaughter, Chantel Bonney of Glendale, Calif., and a step-grandson, Melvin Nilsen, and two great-step-grandchildren, Matthew and Erica Nilsen, all of Portland.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Lounsbury-Musgrove Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lane Memorial Gardens.

The family said flowers are welcome or contributions for those who wish may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Kaufman Senior Center in care of the funeral home.
