Pierce Margaret May Pierce, daughter of the late George and Sarah Zumalt Birdsong, was born at Tuscumbia, Missouri on November 15, 1878, and departed this life at Missouri University Medical Center, Columbia, Missouri on Sunday, July 25, 1976, having reached the age of 97 years, eight months and ten days. She was united with the Christian faith in early life and was a member of the United Methodist Church at Richwoods, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Fred Homer Pierce who preceded her in death in January 1955. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Mildred Smith, and by four sisters. She leaves to survive, one daughter, Opal Peterson of Sweet Springs, Missouri; one foster son, Billy Bonstein of the state of California; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and a host of friends. Mrs. Pierce and her husband lived all of their married life in the Richwoods community, until the death of Mr. Pierce in 1955, after which time Mrs. Pierce went to live with her daughter, Mrs. Opal Peterson in Sweet Springs, Missouri.
