Virginia M. Curtis, 69, of Battle Creek, died Thursday, March 13, 1997, in Mercy Pavilion, where she had been a patient since its opening in 1985.
She was born Nov. 2, 1927, in Battle Creek to Olin E. and Ethelind (McHugh) Harvey and was a graduate of Battle Creek Central High School.
She was employed at Oliver Equipment Co. and later was a housewife.
She married Orlo Curtis on Dec. 28, 1946. He survives.
Also surviving are [4 sons & 1 daughter, I have omitted their names at this time.pac] 7 grandchildren; a brother Jack Harvey of Manton; and sisters, Kathleen Stock of Holt, Patricia Kerwin of Battle Creek and Jeanette Dues of Bettendorf, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Carolyn Anne Curtis; and brothers, Teddy and Thomas Harvey.
-Community involvement, hobbies: Was Battle Creek junior marble champion at age 9. Enjoyed cooking and collecting figurines and dolls.
-Memorial services: Will be held later.
-Arrangements: Royal Funeral Home.
