Linda Helen Elliott was apparently orphaned at an early age, living with her older sisters from the time she was a small child. She married Joseph Thomas in 1920 in Walla Walla WA. Their children were Verele, Clifford, Leona and Dairrell. Joseph died in 1923 in a logging accident. By 1940 Linda was working as housekeeper for Ora Slyter. They married in 1941. Ora died in 1967 in Canby.
