Mrs. Comfort was born February 23, 1865, near Winterton, N.Y. and was the daughter of William Wilkin and Mary VanKeuren. She was a member of the Reformed Church at Bloomingburg; was a teacher in the Sunday school, and an active worker in all church societies. She is survived by her husband and one son, Alva S. Comfort, of Bloomingburg, and by two sisters: Mrs. Frances Thompson, of Middletown, and Mrs. Alva Seybolt, of Oneonta, N.Y.
