Janie Melvina King Teutsch was born on the 22 of February 1907 in San Augustine,Texas. She was born to Pernecia Catherine Mills King and Thomas P King.

The family lived in Texas until some time in the early 1920's then they moved to Webster Parish Louisiana.

Melvina met and married William Hunter Teutsch a neighboring farmer on October 7, 1923.

Melvina passed away suddenly (Possibly of a heart attack) at the age of 46 on March 19, 1952 and she was buried at Union Springs Cemetery in Shongaloo Louisiana.

It is said that the family was so grief stricken at the loss of their mother, wife, sister, cousin, niece and dearest of friends that they did not mend for years following her death.

Janie Melvina was preceded in death by both Mother and Father, and she was survived by her husband William Hunter, children, Mary Francis Gann, Vivian Mason, Vesti Ruley, Juanita Newsome, J.W. Teutsch, and Opal Teutsch, and 9 grandchildren.

Sometimes, we meet people who are in our lives for a day, a week, year or forever. Janie Melvina King Teutsch was a forever person. We will never forget you, and will look forward to our family reunion in Heaven when the forever is spoken by our Lord. Rest in peace Wife, Mother, Grandmother.
