Son of David I Bruce and Anna C. Bruce.
Married Edna Laura Howard on May 1, 1926.
Father of Sarrah Catherine Bruce (Brown).
Five brothers: John D., Chas. N., Edward L., William H. and Elbert.
Four sisters: Grace Guymon, Anna Lorence, Mary Morrison and Lelia Hill.
Early in life he united with the Church of Christ at Concord.
Grover was a World War veteran entering the service June 5, 1917 at Camp Funston, Kansas, later being transferred to Camp Doniphan, Oklahoma then served 18 months in the 35th Division in France driving ammunition trucks doing all he could for his couontry and loved ones at home.
He lived his entire life on the farm where he was born, caring for his father and mother until their death.
Funeral services were held at the Bethany church Friday, March 27th at 2 p. m. conducted by Basil Sinclair.
