Her Parents were Norman G (Gilbert?) Taylor and Laura A. Burton. Laura removed from Manchester VT. to Herndon VA., where she was a teacher and a member of the Congregationalist church and died in 1888. Bertha married Clarence Smead Ely, on 3 Mar 1909 in Weedsport. They had two children George Norman Ely (1909-1999) and Harriett D Ely Welch (1915-2000)
