Gertrude M. Ceccarelli, age 93 beloved wife of John D. Ceccarelli of Stratford, passed away Sunday, July 4, 2010 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport, December 20, 1916, daughter of the late Archibald and Mabel Keenan Puffer, Gertrude was a life area resident and retired from General Electric. She was a avid gardener and member of the Baldwin Center. A devoted mother, grandmother and great-grand-mother, she is survived by a daughter, Dorothy Miko of Milford; a sister, Mildred Morrissey of Bridgeport; two granddaughters, Suzanne Miko and Michele Dwyer; three great-grandchildren, Christina and Sarah Dwyer and Brayden Blohm; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, William Puffer and a sister, Dorothy Fellows. Friends are invited to attend her funeral on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 10 a.m. from the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford and at 10:30 a.m. in St. James Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment in St Michael Garden Mausoleum. Friends may call Thursday morning from 9 to 10 a.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Heart Association .
