Apoplexy Fatal To Arthur Johnson, 46
[d. 20 Apr 1933]
A stroke of apoplexy suffered at eleven o'clock last night was fatal to Arthur Johnson, 46 years of age, and he died shortly after midnight at his home on Adams street.
He had attended the community prayer service at the city hall and was apparently in good health. The stroke was sudden and severe and it was impossible to rally him.
Mr. Johnson was an employee of the Duvin Coal Company.
Those surviving are the widow, Mrs. Emily Johnson, and three daughters, Mrs. Irene Rich, Nina Mae Johnson, and Mattie Marie Johnson.
The funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. D.R. Thomas and the Rev. Reich and will be held at the General Baptist church. The time of the funeral has not been definitely set because of absent relatives.
Interment will be in the Lake View cemetery.
