Son of Thomas & Helen Turner. At 92 years of age, V.A. was exercising several times a week by going to Wal Mart and walking the isles. Husband of more than 69 years to Beatrice "Bea" Witten. Father of Tom & Garry.

VIRGIL A 'V.A." TURNER
Virgil A "V.A." Turner, Chief Master Sergeant USAF (Ret) passed on early Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at the Warm Springs Specialty Hospital in Luling at the age of 92.
Visitation will be at Goetz Funeral Home in Seguin on Friday, July 9, from 5-9 p.m. Funeral services, with military honors, will be held at Goetz Funeral Home on Saturday, July 10 at 2 p.m., with interment following at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.
Virgil is survived by Bea, his beloved wife of more than 69 years; son Tom of Minneapolis; son and daughter-in-law Garry and Temple of Boerne: grandson and wife Jason and Laurie Turner; great-grandchildren Ay'lanna Turner, and Jason, Russell, Alec and wife Esther Seams; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews in Texas and California. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
The family requests that memorials be sent to either the American Heart Association or the First United Methodist Church in Seguin.
