Mr. Vickers was born July 29, 1938, in Monette, Arkansas and was a former employee of L. A. Darling Store Fixtures.
He was an Army veteran having served during the Cuban Missile Crisis, a member of the American Legion, and of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include his wife, Laren Vickers of Paragould; three sons and daughters-in-law, Lonnie and Christi Vickers of Bernie, Missouri, Dennis and Shelley Vickers and David and Stephaine Vickers, all of Paragould; and one daughter and son-in-law, Tammie and Kenneth Swink of Paragould. He is also survived by one sister, June Gossett of Nicholasville, Kentucky; eleven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Loyd and Pauline Vickers; one brother, Glen Vickers; and one sister, Sharon Shatley.
Graveside services were held at New Friendship Cemetery.
