Warren M. Dachenbach, 81, of Chariton died of a heart attack Sunday at home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Fielding Funeral Home in Chariton, with burial at Chariton Cemetery. Mr. Dachenbach, a lifelong Chariton resident, was a retired farmer and a member of Grace Baptist Church in Chariton.

Survivors include his wife, Maisel; a son, David of West Des Moines; three daughters, Marian Wright of Cedar Rapids, Ruth Ruddell of Chariton and Mildred Rollins of Hobart, Ind.; a sister, Lola Mantich of Omaha; a brother, Lowell of Chariton; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present.
Memorial contributions may be made to his church.

Warren M. Dachenbach, son of Orie D. and Adda Dachenbach, was born in Pleasant Township, Lucas County, on August 30, 1910, and passed away from this life on De­cember 22, 1991 at the age of 81 years, three months and 22 days.

He was united in marriage to Maisel Metz on Sept. 16, 1932, and to this union four children were born; Mildred, David, Marian and Ruth.

He taught school in local one room schools during his early years. He farmed northeast of Chariton un­til he retired and moved to Chariton in the fall of 1987.

Mr. Dachenbach attended Grace Baptist Church in Chariton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orie and Adda Dachenbach and two sisters, Ruth Davis and Ila Gardner.

Mr. Dachenbach is survived by his wife, Maisel, and children Mildred Rollins of Hobart, Ind., David Dachenbach of West Des Moines, Marian and Bob Wright of Cedar Rapids, and Ruth and Ron Ruddell of Chariton. Also one sister, Lola Mantich of Omaha, Neb. and one, brother Lowell Dachenbach of Chariton. As well as 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchldren and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 24, 1991, at the Fielding Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis St. Lawrence officiating.

Serving as bearers were Keith Dachenbach, Joe Rollins, John Rollins, Steve Wright, Ken Wright and Hugh Goodman.

Honorary bearers were Gary Smith, Marty Marsh and Don Hoffman.

Burial was in the Chariton Cemetery.
