MARIA LUTTRELL RICE CUNNINGHAM, "Our lives are but a journey filled with paths we each will take" Maria, 58, ended her earthly journey on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at Methodist University Hospital.Maria was born on May 7, 1952, to the late Luttrell Eaton and Esther Marie Jones Rice. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from LeMoyne-Owen College and her Master of Arts Degree from the University of Memphis. She leaves to embrace the promises of God two loving sons, Martin Anthony and Mark Andrew Cunningham (Memphis, TN); one sister, Diane Brewster (Atlanta, GA), one brother, Luttrell (Marie) Eaton (Birmingham, AL); a mother-in-law, Mrs. Ernestine Cunningham; two aunts, Evelyn Jones Matthews and Ann Sargeant (all of Memphis, TN); and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Friday, July 9, 2010, at M J Edwards Funeral Home, 4445 Stage Rd. Services will be Saturday, July 10, 2 p.m., at Springdale Baptist Church, 1193 Springdale St., hosted by Real Life Ministries. Maria will be buried alongside her husband at Forest Hill Cemetery.
