MT. ANGEL - Patricia Romualda Sutter died Monday after a lengthy illness. She was born to Joseph and Frances Sutter on March 31, 1945, in Silverton. Patricia graduated from Portland State University with a degree in accounting. She lived in Gresham for many years while working as an accountant for the Portland Public Schools for 17 years. Patricia moved to Mt. Angel in 2004.
Patricia was a member and former secretary of the Swiss Ladies Club and a member of the Catholic Daughters.
She loved her family, especially Tristie and Blake.
Her enjoyments included horses and traveling and her extensive collection of eagles and antiques.
Survivors include her daughter, Tristie Sutter; grandson, Blake Johns, and mother Frances Sutter, all of Mt. Angel. Patricia's brothers and sisters include Joseph & Linda Sutter of Silverton, Mary Ann & Jerry Slater and Fred & Donna Sutter of Salem, Frank & Karen Sutter of Woodburn, Susan & Steve Reznick of Keizer, Regina Whitney of Wilsonville, Heidi and Bill Selman of Jefferson and Angela Sutter and Fernando Mejia of Cameron Park, California. Patricia leaves 15 nieces and nephews and 5 great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Unger Funeral Chapel, Mt. Angel. A Mass of the Resurrection will be Friday, July 9 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Mt. Angel. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to St. Mary's Catholic Church, Mt. Angel or the Providence Benedictine Nursing Center.
