Willis Chambers Fellers, fourth child of William and Susann Fellers, was born near Table Rock, February 21, 1870. He grew to manhood and received his formal education in his home community.

Early in his life, he became associated with his father in a general merchandise store and later he bought the business and continued to operate it until his retirement in 1936.

On June 9th, 1891, he was united in marriage to Anna M. Groves who was also in business in Table Rock. They established their home in the present home-site in which he has continued to live since that time.

There was one daughter, Wanda, born to this union, who passed away at the age of thirteen years. Mrs. Fellers passed away in 1936.

He was united in marriage to Ellen L. Mann, August 14, 1938 at Elba, Nebraska, and they continued their residence in Table Rock until the time of his passing.

Mr. Fellers was a public spirited man throughout his life and shared in every public enterprise that was for the betterment of his community. He was a lover of all beauty and especially, that of Nature. His home-site stands as a tribute to his appreciation of the beauty his Creator placed at his disposal.

He with Mrs. Fellers united with the Methodist Church of this community October 24, 1951 and it was in this faith he passed to his home-going, after a short illness January 8, 1959 at Lushton, York county, Nebraska, at the home of his sister-in-law, the Rev. Maude V. Mann. They were spending an extended holiday vacation there.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Ellen; three sisters,: Mrs. Mattie Smith, Independence, Mo., Mrs. Anna Jones, Walla Walla, Washington, and Mrs. Sam R. McKelvie, Phoenix, Arizona. There are many nieces and nephews who were near to him and other relatives and a wide circle of friends.

Of his immediate family, his father, mother, two brothers, Osyman and Marion, and two sisters, Minnie and Lulu, preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon at the Methodist church in Table Rock with the Rev. George Danskin in charge . The Rev. Maude Mann, sister of Mrs. Ellen fellers, and pastor of the E.U.B. Church at Lushton, preached the service. burial was made in the Table Rock cemetery.

Music at the services included a girls trio composed of Janice Cunningham, Kathy Deubelbeiss and Sharilyn Vrtiska, and a solo by Mrs. George Danskin.

Flower ladies were Mrs. Cleo Deubelbeiss and Mrs. Laura Day.

Active pallbearers included H. g. Pattison, Howard Herrick, Charles Binder, Floyd Vrtiska, Lloyd Vrtiska and Gordon Bethel. Honorary pallbearers included J. I. Barnard, William Alderman, Edgar Norris, James Broyles, Charlie Binder and John Pattison.

The body was in charge of the Metz Funeral Home at York.
