Mrs. Peggy Nowling, age 84, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2010. She was born March 29, 1926 in St. Louis, Missouri to Lawrence and Dora Sargent Campbell. Mrs. Nowling had been a resident of Walton County since 1959. She was Christ of Christ by faith. She worked at the Walton County Council on Aging for over 15 years. She was a member of the Liberty Homemakers, the TOPS and the Hernacails Club. Mrs. Nowling was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Anderson Nowling, one son Lawrence Nowling, one grandson Donnie Davidson, one granddaughter Amy Nowling and one great grandson Sam Nowling. Mrs. Nowling is survived by her daughter Karen Nowling Cumbie and husband Glenn Cumbie of DeFuniak Springs, one daughter-in-law Sue Nowling of Reno, Nevada, six grandchildren; Peggy Pinarbasi and husband Mustafa, Katrina Messer, Paul Nowling and wife Michelle, Sheila Hamm and husband Arthur, Amanda Nowling and Glenn Dewayne Cumbie and wife Margaret, sixteen great grandchildren; Andrea, Tiffany, Andrew, Harrison, Leslie, Jamie, Phillip, Austin, Emile, Alysa, Adam, Isabella, Alex, Andy, Jack and Max, and one great great granddaughter Haile. A time of visitation will be held 6:00~8:00 PM, Friday, July 9, 2010 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 10, 2010 at College Avenue Church of Christ with Minister Jerry Galloway officiating. Burial will follow in the Cluster Springs Cemetery. Floral arrangements are being accepted.
