Louis Mattingly, 93, of Little Sisters of the Poor, died at 10:15 p.m. Monday [April 16, 1973] at St. Anthony Hospital. He was formerly of Loretto, KY, and a retired farmer. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Thelma Nash, eight grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Mattingly Funeral Home, Loretto; with burial in St. Francis Cemetery, St. Francis, KY. The body will be at the funeral home after noon Wednesday.

John Louis Mattingly, 93, died at 10:10 P.M., April 16, 1973, at St. Anthony Hospital in Louisville. He was a native of St. Mary, and a former resident of Loretto. He was the son of the late Sim & Nannie Miles Mattingly. His wife, Mary Lillie Cambron Mattingly, preceded him in death nine years ago. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Thelma Nash, Louisville; one brother, Arthur Mattingly, St. Mary; eight grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 2 P.M. Thursday, at St. Francis of Assisi by the Rev. Joseph I. Dawson. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mattingly Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers including Jack & Marvin Dailey, Jack, Panke, Mickey & Emanuel Mattingly.
