Beatrice was the daughter of Frank Thornbury & Mary Hegue (according to her death certificate). In November 1883 she and James Anderson were married. They had four children: Ora, Forrest, Marvin, and Lang. She and James divorced sometime between Lang's birth in 1893 and the census of 1900, when James was reported as a divorced grocery merchant with three of their children. Beatrice died in East Baton Rouge Parish at age 60 and was buried in the same cemetery, where her husband and daughter Ora were buried much later.
