Flo Bell, age 80, of Emerson, Iowa passed away Thursday, June 11, 1998 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. Flo Bell was born May 18, 1918 on a farm near Emerson, Iowa the daughter of Fred and Anna (Stidd) Huntsman. She graduated from the Emerson High School and married Ira Bell. They were lifelong residents of the Emerson and Malvern areas. Ira preceded her in death in 1978. Flo was a homemaker and a member of the Emerson Baptist Church. She was very proud of her award for volunteerism from the Govenor of Iowa.
Survivors include her two sons, Don Bell and his wife Jill of Peoria, Illinois, and Robert Bell of Sioux City, Iowa; five grandchildren, Joshua and Jessica Bell of Peoria, Illinois, and Kathy, Angela and Jonith Bell of Denton, Texas; and her mother, Anna Huntsman of Red Oak, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, June15, 1998 at the Emerson Baptist Church with the Rev. Burl Ratzsch officiating. Burial was in the Emerson Cemetery. Visitation was held from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 14, 1998 at Nelson-Boylan Funeral Chapel.
Survivors include her two sons, Don Bell and his wife Jill of Peoria, Illinois, and Robert Bell of Sioux City, Iowa; five grandchildren, Joshua and Jessica Bell of Peoria, Illinois, and Kathy, Angela and Jonith Bell of Denton, Texas; and her mother, Anna Huntsman of Red Oak, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.
