Mrs. Beverly Lucille Corbin

Beverly passed away in her sleep on Aug. 5, 2009 in Medford, Ore., at the age of 86. Born in Paw Paw, Mich., her parents were Robert and Dora Powell. Beverly traveled on vacation with her family during the Depression Era and spoke many times about her travels. After graduating from Albuquerque High School, Beverly enjoyed writing and studied under the guidance of southwest artist, Niles Hogner and worked as a Secretary in Sacramento, Calif. It was during a blind date, on Christmas Eve 1940 she would meet and eventually marry Harry Corbin, of Albuquerque, N.M. Their marriage would bring eight children, Margaret Knorr (husband, William), of Medford, Ore., Mary Morris (husband, Howard), of Tacoma, Wash., Anne Heiser (husband, Jerry), of Surprise, Ariz., Robert Corbin (wife, Patricia), of Forsyth, Mont., William Corbin (wife, Peggy), of Cheyenne, Wyo., David Corbin (wife, Katherine) of Miles City, Mont., Francis Corbin, of Medford, Ore. and Jane Corbin, of Cedar Lake, Ind.; nine grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Roberta; and her husband of over 50 years, Lt. Col. H.L. Corbin.
Harry and Beverly would traveled the United States and England during their marriage. While raising her family, she and Harry would teach each of their children the values and lessons of a strong family core, Christian values and the rewards of hard work. Beverly moved to Medford in July 2005. While living with her daughter, Margaret, she received the care and support that she would need.
A memorial service will be held at Conger-Morris,Medford, Saturday, Aug. 8th at 2 p.m. followed by Vigil Service at Stevenson's Funeral Home in Miles City, Mont., on Tuesday, Aug. 11th at 6:00 p.m. A Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church in Miles City, Mont. on Wednesday, Aug. 12th 10:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest next to her late husband at Custer County Cemetery in Miles City.
