David "married Callie Holcombe June 19, 1919 Jefferson, Arkansas. She was born in Pine Bluff, Jefferson, Arkansas in 1901 and died in 1922 in Louisiana. Possibly died in childbirth since Joel's birth is in 1922. They had two children Sarah Margaret Caldwell and Joel Andrew Caldwell."
