A Personal Note by Miranda (granddaughter)
Edna Vilar (Hayes) Bailey, my paternal grandmother, was a devoted mother and marvelous cook. She was a native of McKenzie, Alabama, and had a beautiful Southern accent. Her fried chicken and homemade apple pies will never be forgotten by those who enjoyed them--they were fantastic! She was also a woman of deep faith in God. She is fondly remembered by her family.
