EMPORIA—Reva Walstorm, Emporia, died May 29, 2009, at Newman Hospital, Emporia. She was 94.She was born March 15, 1915, at Miller, the daughter of Charles W. and Minnie Magee Robertson. She grew up in the Admire area and attended grade school in the 100 and Duck Creek school districts. She married Rudolph R. Walstrom, March 5, 1934, at Cottonwood Falls. He preceded her in death on Nov. 3, 1985. They farmed in the Admire and Miller area most of their life before moving to Madison in September 1984. She moved to Emporia after his death. Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by a sister and three brothers.
Survivors include two sons, Robert E. Walstrom, Emporia, and Lee Walstrom, Girard; three grandchildren, Kenneth Walstrom, Brenda Evans and Bryan Walstrom, all of Madison; six greatgrandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.Services were June 1 at Union Cemetery, Osage City. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner's Hospital and sent in care of VanArsdale Funeral Chapel, 107 N. Sixth St., Osage City, KS 66523.
