James M. Harty, 78, of Mechanicsburg, PA, formerly of Highland Park, IL, passed away Monday, July 28, 2008 at Bethany Village Retirement Center, Mechanicsburg, PA. He was the husband of the late Marian G. McCormick Harty. Born in Highland Park, IL, he was the son of the late Edward and Hilda Andersen Harty. He retired from Robinsons Inc., Highland Park and was a member of Steel Workers Union, Local #73, Chicago. He was an avid golfer. Surviving are two daughters, Susan Guastella (Phil) of Lafayette, IN and Carol D. Harty of Middletown, PA; a son, James R. Harty, M.D. (
Cindy) of Harrisburg, PA; four grandchildren, Adam Skinner, Jenna Guastella,
Nicholas and Catherine Harty; three brothers, William, Edward "Bud" and John; a sister, Lorraine. He was preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Ceto. Funeral Services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to
