Bryant Lee Wooten, Sr. was the son of Bryant(1795-1867) and Jincy Lee Wooten (b 1807). He was the grandson of Joel Wooten,RS (1754-1813) and Elizabeth Jordan (b. abt. 1760). He was also the grandson of John Lee,RS.

Bryant Lee's first wife was Narcissa Passmore (1840-1859). She is the daughter of John Passmore & his wife Sarah Lee. Bryant & Narcissa were first cousins because their mothers were both daughters of John Lee. Narcissa died in childbirth when their daughter, Narcissa Wooten (1859-1944) was born. Narcissa was raised by her father & his second wife.

Bryant Lee's second wife was Susanna (Cato) Passmore. She was the half-sister of Narcissa Passmore & was not related to Bryant Lee Wooten. Susanna's mother was Candace Cato, John Passmore's long time "partner".
