Mark E. Craig, 60, of Gibson City died at 3:48 a.m. Monday (July 5, 2010) at the Gibson Area Hospital in Gibson City.

He was born on April 5, 1950 in Bloomington to Don and Sandi Craig and Reba Joyce. He married Tammy L. McCullough on June 13, 1981, in Gibson City. She survives. He was preceded in death by his father.

Also surviving are a daughter, Stacy (Chad) Johnson; two grandchildren, Hunter and Valeree Johnson; mother; three brothers, Dirk Craig, Don Craig and Todd Joyce; two sisters, Janet (Warren) Page and Cheryl (Pete) Hester and stepmother, Sandi Craig.

Mark graduated from Gibson City High School in 1968. He owned and operated Craig's Sunoco Gas Station for more than 30 years.

He worked for the volunteer fire department in Gibson City for many years, retiring as assistant chief. He was a member of the Gibson Masonic Lodge 733 AF&AM and the Mohamed Shrine Temple. He was an avid golfer, participating in many leagues and accomplished a hole-in-one three times. He was currently employed at Railside Golf Course.
