Michael Alan "Mike" Rial
(August 11, 1961 - July 4, 2010)
Funeral services for Michael Alan "Mike" Rial, 48, of Pryor will be held on Friday, July 9 at 2:00 PM at Locust Grove Free Will Baptist Church. Rev. Jeff Blair will officiate with burial following at Hogan Cemetery in Locust Grove. Mike passed away on Sunday. Services are under the direction of Key Funeral Home in Pryor.
Mike was born on August 11, 1961 in Topeka, Kansas to Ronald Marion and Delores Jean (Gindt) Rial. He grew up and attended school in Tulsa for his first 5 years of grade school then moved to Locust Grove. He lost his father at a very young age and his mother, Delores, was remarried to Ronnie Grubbs. Ronnie was a great father and he raised Mike and his siblings. He was a 1979 graduate of Locust Grove High School and after graduating, he attended Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College in Moore where he earned his Associates degree. He then moved to Nashville where he attended Free Will Baptist Bible College and earned a Bachelor's degree in Theology. Mike returned home to Locust Grove and he met the love of his life, Rhonda Fleming. He and Rhonda were soon engaged and during their engagement he attended Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa. After graduating from Spartan, he started working at American Airlines. Mike and Rhonda were married on October 24, 1986 in Locust Grove. Mike worked for American Airlines for 24 years and was currently a Crew Chief aircraft mechanic. He was very active in the union, AFLCIO, serving in several different positions over the years.

First and foremost, Mike was a family man and he loved God. He was an active member of the Locust Grove Free Will Baptist Church. He loved spending time with Rhonda and their three kids, whether it was attending church on Sundays, hanging out at the lake during the summer on the boat or just having fun with them at home. He was also very close to his brothers and sisters and made many great memories with them over the years. Mike was a very proud pawpaw to his two grandchildren, Heidi and Stephen, they have brought him much joy in the recent months. He loved traveling and never met a stranger anywhere he went. Anyone who knew Mike knew that he always had a positive attitude and a smile on his face. He followed politics and current events. His friends knew him to be non-judgmental and someone who always enjoyed a spirited debate. Mike definitely made a lasting impression on his family, friends and co-workers and will be in their hearts forever.

Parents-in-Law - Don and Nancy Hobbs of Pryor

Father-in-Law- Bobby Fleming of Locust Grove

1 Brother- Charlie Rial and wife Cindy of Columbia, TN

2 Sisters- Rhonda Kincade and husband Robert of Carlsbad, CA

Teresa Thompson and husband Tommy of West Plains, MO

1 Step-Brother- Brett Grubbs and wife Jodie of Verdigris

1 Step-Sister- Tammy Anderson of Tulsa

3 Sisters-in-Law- Doreen Parker and husband David of Locust Grove

Carla Spurling and husband Lee Ray Jr. of Locust Grove

Sarah Rial-Johnson and husband Tim of Pryor

He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Rial and 1 Brother, Doug Rial.
