Esther Milligan Thibodeaux, 87, of Raceland, La., died April 26, 2001. Born in Winfield, she was preceded in death by her parents, Jarvis and Ellen Blankenship Chitwood; first husband, Herman Milligan; her second husband, Norman Thibodeaux; one brother, Hank Chitwood; and three sisters, Delora Smith, Gladys Chitwood, and Nellie Chitwood. She was a member of the Baptist faith, and a member of the Ladies' Auxiliary Unit 349 of Raceland.
She is survived by one son, Wayne Thibodeaux of Hammond, La., four daughters: Jackie Cromwell, of Gretna, La., Norma Jean "Tippy" Brossette, of Lockport, Angelle Woodward of Clinton, Ill., and Brenda Templet of Raceland, La.; 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, three brothers: Clifford, Woodrow and Herbert Chitwood; two sisters, Geneva Jones and Juanita Smith; and numerous other relatives.
Religious service was conducted April 28, 2001, at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland. Interment followed in St. Mary's Cemetery, Raceland, LA.
