Survived by his wife, Mrs. Rosalee Hawkins; one son, Murray Douglas, Baton Rouge; two daughters, Misses Venessa Gial and Valeria Denise Hawkins, both of Baton Rouge; four step-daughters, Mrs. L. Jones, Mrs. J. Perry, Mrs. E. Thompson, and Mrs. A. Willis, all of New Orleans; three sisters, Mrs. Emelder Ferguson, Stockton, Calif. And Miss Martha Hawkins, Jr. and Capt. Clarence R. Hawkins, both of Baton Rouge.
