(Lorenzo Dow & Alice Viola (Kelly) Ensor had six children: William Franklin Ensor, b. 29 Oct. 1885 md 19 Jun. 1909, Vida Dow; Bertah Kelly Ensor, b. 1 Jul. 1887 md 7 Sept. 1919 Isaac Jacob Walls; James Leslie Ensor, b. 5 Aug. 1889, Pekin, Putnam Co., TN md 20 Jun. 1909 Mamie Demaris Chambers; Ruth Ensor, b. 29 Nov. 1891 md 6 Aug. 1912 Luke P. Shanks; Rettie Kelly Ensor, b. 26 May 1894 – d. 28 Apr.

Just as we go to press we learn of the death of Dr. L. D. J. Ensor, one of Cookeville's most prominent physicians, and a most prominent physicians, and a most highly respected and beloved citizen, which occurred at his home at an early hour this morning. Dr. Ensor had not been well for the past few weeks, having been suffering from a nervous trouble and had not been at his office for some days. His sudden death came as a great shock to his family and many friends by whom he will be greatly missed, for he was well known throughout the county and belong to one
of the pioneer families of this section. He leaves two sons, four daughters and a large number of friends and relatives to mourn their loss.
Dr. Ensor was between sixty five and seventy years of age and had practiced medicine in this county for many years. He was a hightoned Christian gentleman, measuring up to the full stature of a real man in all his acts and dealings. He was a devout member of the Methodist church and always took a great delight in church work. He was also a member of the Masonic order and his burial tomorrow will be conducted by the local lodge of Masons.
