OBIT:

The accidental death of Mrs. Tillman Houser in this city at the age of 73 years calls for more than passing notice, as she was one of the very first white women to locate in Kittitas Valley, which she did, with her husband in 1868, and has resided here uninterruptedly ever since. Mrs. Houser died as the result of a fall down a few steps at her home on Friday.

Naturally she had a wide acquaintance in the valley, especially among the older residents by whom she was always held in very high esteem and her death brings regret to all who knows her and much sympathy will go out to her aged husband, beside whom she leaves three daughters, Mrs. Churchill and Mrs. German of Ellensburg and Mrs. King of Wenatchee and three sons, Harrison, Clarence and Alva, the latter a resident of Montana.

Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian Church and were largely attended.
