Parents: Alfred G. Larimore (1831-1870; b. Green Co. KY, d. Clay Co., MO) and Sarah Jane McGee Larimore (1831-1868; b.& d. Clay Co., MO).

Paternal Grandparents: Campbell Larimore (1796-1843)(Rockingham Co., NC-Green Co. KY) and Martha "Patsy" Graham Larimore (1809-1887)(NC-Paradise, Clay Co., MO). Martha is buried in the Paradise Cemetery, Paradise, MO.

Jasper's mother died shortly after his birth and he was raised by an uncle and aunt, James W. & Julia McGee Cox.

Jasper and Verda were m. June 20, 1897 at 3 p.m. at Williams, Oregon at the home of James T. Hartley; the ceremony was performed by W. R. Nipper, J.P.

Jasper & Virdie had 2 children, both living. Julia Cox is showing no children, but they did have one daughter who died young.

James Cox's brother Edgar, lives nearby; he was 69 yrs, b. 1831, KY. His father was b. Maryland; his mother in VA. Edgar resides right next to James Oliver McGee, Julia Cox's brother.


It was published in the Sept. 24, 1915 edition of the "Medford Mail Tribune" that Jasper was serving as a Grand Juror for the month of October.


Descendants remember that Jasper had a wonderful singing voice, a deep baritone. Valley residents attended church just to hear Jasper sing (so family members remember).
