Paul Theodore Spriggs, 65, of Great Cacapon, died on Monday, March 6, 2000 at Valley View Nursing Home, Berkeley Springs.

Born January 24, 1935 in Great Cacapon, he was the son of the late Beverly Theodore and Jarahnia Magdalene Hivick Spriggs.

He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Great Cacapon. He attended
Great Cacapon Elementary School. He was the oldest member of the Great Cacapon
Volunteer Fire Company.

Surviving are one sister, Rose Z. "Judy" Merica of Great Cacapon; one brother,
Raymond V. Spriggs of Roseville, CA; two nieces; one nephew; one great nephew;
and several cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 9 at the
Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 306 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, with the Rev.
Steven R. Dawson officiating.

Interment will be in Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Great Cacapon. The family will receive
friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today, Wednesday, March 8, at the funeral home,
which will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday.
