George A. Donovan of 58 Jaques Ave., Fairview, died Friday morning at his home. He was born in West Brookfield, son of Jeremiah and Elizabeth (Harrington) Donovan, and attended Brookfield schools. He was employed at Standard Corset Co. for years before its closing in 1945. He lived in Torrance Ca. for 10 years prior to moving to Fairview 1 and a half years ago. He leaves his wife, Madeline (Quinlan) Donovan; two daughters Mrs. Eileen Clark of Lom, Cal., and Mrs. Doris Aldrich, a registered nurse, of Fairview., a son John of Westboro. Another son, Donald R. Donovan, who was in the Coast Guard died in World War II. He leaves a sister, Miss Faith Donovan of West Brookfield; eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at the John B Shea funeral home, Holyoke, Monday at 8:15 with a requiem high mass at 9 in St. Ann's Church, Fairview. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Warren. Calling hours at the funeral home are from this afternoon at 2, and at the time of the funeral.
