Barbara E. Black, of Hanover, passed away July 2, 2010, at her home.
Born February 19, 1949, in Howard, MD, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Julia E. (Thomas) Poole.
Barbara was a 1967 graduate of Damascus High School.
She was a production operator for Becton Dickinson for over 20 years.
Barbara is survived by one son, Mark A. Portner of Hanover; one daughter, Melissa L. Ortiz of Martinsburg, WV; six grandchildren,; one sister, Joan Moore; and two brothers, Ronnie Poole and George Poole.
She was preceded in death by one son, Duke A. Portner and one sister, Betty Zimmerman.
Burial was in Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, Shrewsbury.
