He was a retired cattleman and veteran of WWI, and a member of First Baptist Church. Services were January 23, at 2 pm in McBride Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Ripley Cemetery. Bro Harris Counce officiated. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Dorsie Ford, Ripley; one daughter, Dorothy Gregory, Iuka, MS; two sisters, Ruth Conner, Tiplersville and Julia Needham, Ripley; one grandson. Pallbearers were T.C.Tapp, Tommy Tapp, Collins Dixon, Joe White, Paul Griffin, Horace Weatherly, W.C. Jamieson and Ross Stark.
