Besides his mother, he is survived by his brother, Michael Abbott and his wife Christine of Columbia; sister, Constance Marcial and her husband Hector of Windsor; brother, Steven Abbott and his wife Melissa of Ashford. He was the loving uncle "JayJay " and will be sadly missed by his seven nieces and nephews, Ashley, Mikey and Scotty Abbott of Columbia, Ricky and Jubee Marcial of Windsor, and Sarah and Meagan Abbott of Ashford. He also leaves a very special friend, Tricia Smith of Vernon; and other special friends, Venessa Orpheus of Manchester, Darrell Sacchi, also of Manchester, Jerry Rivard of East Hartford, Lisa Socha of Manchester; and all of his other brother firefighters at the Manchester Fire Dept.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 29, at 10:30 a.m. at the Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Manchester. Burial will be in the Buckland Cemetery in Manchester. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 1-3 and 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
