He worked at the Integris Miami Hospital until his retirement in maintenance. He had also worked in his cabinet shop before and after that time. He was known for being a master craftsman. Marvin also enjoyed OU football, NASCAR and the St. Louis Cardinals. You could also find him working in his flower gardens or his gold fish pond. He and Sybil were members of Bethany Christian Church in Miami. Mr. Cantwell was preceded in passing by his parents, Alvin and Maggie Cantwell, his first and second wife Dixie Cantwell and Mary Carolyn Searl, two brothers Kenneth Cantwell and Ralph Cantwell and a grandson Colby Cantwell.
Surviving family is his wife Sybil Cantwell of the home, his children Kevin Cantwell and his wife Darlene of Miami, Korey Cantwell and his wife Regina all of Miami, Julie L. Butler and her husband Chad of Neosho, Missouri, Michelle L. Stengal and her husband Brian of Miami, Nichole P. Blakemore of Christiansburg, Virginia, his grandchildren Karissa Cantwell, Brett Cantwell, Jeffrey Cantwell, Casey Cantwell, Brady Cantwell Ashley Butler, Kaylee Butler, Dalton Jones, Breely Stengal, Haley Blakemore, , along with great grandchildren Maverick Caswell, Sawyer Kirksey, Timber Kirksey, Luke Simpson and Kal Edward Cantwell.
Visitation is on Sunday, December 4, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
Services are Monday, December 5, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Bethany Christian Church in Miami with Pastor Bob Barker officiating. Interment will follow at the Seneca Cemetery under the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
Casketbearers are Brett Cantwell, Jeffrey Cantwell, Casey Cantwell, Brady Cantwell, Kevin Cantwell and Korey Cantwell.
