Anchorage resident Jordan D. Williams, 27, died April 18, 2009, in an avalanche in Valdez. Visitation was held at Life Church, 12245 Jerome St., with a funeral. Pastor Tim Sullivan officiated.
Jordan was born on July 1, 1981, in Valdez. He received a bachelor's degree in electronic engineering and worked at J.K.A. Land Development as a construction manager from 2005 to 2007 in Palm Desert, Calif. From 2008 to 2009, he worked as a schedule engineer for Kiewit Construction. He was a member of the Apostolic Praise Temple. He enjoyed snowmachining, his children and family, and the video game Rock Band. His family wrote, "Jordan was a wonderful, loving, strong and highly respected husband, father, son and friend. He left three small pieces of him on this earth, who will make this world a better place because of him. We will dearly miss him, but never forget him."
Survivors include his wife, Amanda Williams; son, Jarek Williams; daughters, Shaeley Williams and Katelynn Williams; mother, Melinda Williams; father, Bob Williams; and sisters, Becky Pulse and Tamara Evens of California, and Sara Parks of Nevada.
