Roth.--Joseph R. Roth was born Jan. 8, 1838, near Logelbach, Alsace, Germany; immigrated to Canada in 1852. From there he went to Iowa, where he was married to Mary Egli, Nov. 29, 1866, near Trenton, Henry Co.
To this union were born ten children. Two daughters died in their infancy.
His wife, 4 sons and 4 daughters survive him near Woodburn, Oreg., where he died March 28, 1910; aged 72 y. 2 m. 20 d. The deceased was a brother in the Amish Mennonite Church.
Funeral services were conducted in both languages, by Bro. A. P. Troyer in English, and D. J. Kropf in German. Text, Rev. 21.
