San Diego Union-Tribune, The (CA) - Tuesday, July 10, 2007

Debbie Jean Brassard, 52 , of San Diego passed away July 6, 2007 after a valiant 4 year battle with Wegener's Granulomatosis and Breast Cancer.

Born in Hollywood in 1955 to Sam and Truda Hutchinson. She was their only child and was brought up in a loving Christian home. She attended Burbank High School, LA Valley Community College and graduated from San Diego State University in 1977 with a Bachelors Degree in Art.

She met her husband Bob in 1979, fell in love, and was married at Point Loma Presbyterian Church in 1983.

She was a member of Chula Vista Presbyterian Church where she had many friends. She worked side by side with her husband building an Avis Rent A Car business from the ground floor into a thriving success. By far, her most precious accomplishment was her loving daughter Danielle who was born in 1988. She was happiest when she was taking care of her family. She was such a fine cook with an ability to open a kitchen cabinet, take stock with what she had to work with, and produce a gourmet meal. Her other passion was the art of the "garage sale." She had an uncanny ability to pick out the treasure that others had passed up. An Ebay expert, she always wanted to pursue that passion full time.

She leaves behind her husband Bob, her daughter Danielle, her father Sam together with extended family members on the Brassard side, who loved her very much. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 11th at Chula Vista Presbyterian Church located at 940 Hilltop Drive in Chula Vista.

A viewing will be held Thursday July 12th, from 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. at Feathergill Mortuary, located at 6322 El Cajon Blvd.

Burial will follow at noon at Singing Hills Memorial Park located at 2800 Dehesa Rd., El Cajon. "...to a place where prayers are answered and battles are won!"Please sign the guest book at obituaries.uniontrib.com
