Leslie Coggins, 72, of Fairbury passed away Friday (July 2, 2010) surrounded by his wife and 10 children at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.

Leslie was born Oct. 2, 1937, in Hopedale to Donald Seymour and Ruth Riley Coggins. Leslie married Eldora Cremeens Schumm on Jan. 10, 1969, in Minier. She survives.

Leslie was preceded in death by his father, Donald Coggins; and grandson, Curtis Scott Byars.

Leslie spent his working years at Caterpillar Tractor Co., Right Way Systems of Hopedale, the village of Minier and Hopedale Hospital.

Leslie and his wife spent many hours as volunteers at the Jesus Coffeehouse in Bloomington.
An avid fisherman, he was a member of the Stanford Sportsman's Club. Leslie also was a former president and member of the Minier Lions Club.

Leslie was a devoted husband, and a loving father and grandfather.

The family requests memorials be sent to Minier Christian Church or the Faith Fellowship Church of Fairbury.
