"Miss Arville Smith died at her home in Main Street, Sunday night, May 28 at the age of 67 years, after a short illness with pneumonia. She is survived by two brothers, Andrew Smith who also lived at the old homestead and Walter Smith of Kingfield; a sister Mrs. Wm. McFarlane, also a number of nieces and nephews including Mrs.Bessie Brewer, whom she brought up from childhood. The deceased was a member of Echo chapter, O.E.S., where she will be greatly missed, as well as in the home. Funeral was held Wednesday afternoon, Rev. A.C. Townsend officiating,with services by the Star. Interment in the family lot in the village cemetery.".
