Born April 25, 1944 in Bethlehem, PA, he was the son of the late Richard Luther Andrews, Sr. and Aileen Daneker Andrews.
Mr. Andrews retired from the U. S. Postal Service as a letter carrier after thirty-eight years of service. He a former member of the Army Reserves.
He is survived by his wife, Easter Wilson Andrews; one son, Richard Luther Andrews IL; one daughter, Melissa Bohrer, both of Pennsylvania; ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Donald Andrews, of Rockville, MD; and sister Beryl Greenawalt, of Laurel, MD.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Melanie Andrews.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at Brown Funeral Home.
Interment will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Saint Ignatius of Loyola Cemetery in Urbana, MD.
