Cowboy Philbert Thomas known to many as "H" has completed his journey here on Earth and gone home to be with the Lord May 14, 2010, in Whiteriver.
He was born May 23, 1959, in Cibecue. "Our cowboy will be greatly missed by all."
Loved ones he left behind include his wife Elvira Thomas; four sons and one daughter whom he was always proud of Phil Thomas, Hilbert Thomas, Hubert Thomas, Philbert Thomas Jr. and Jeanelle Lee. Others he cherished include four granddaughters Christine Thomas, Arian Thomas, Kyleigh Lee and Mya Lee and five grandsons Ty Lane Thomas, Ricky Lee, Sonny Lupe, Iverson Thomas and Malachi Thomas. "H" had three traditional goddaughters Rustassia Stover, Amanda Zahgotah and Angel Hoffman. "H" is also survived by his brothers Earldean Thomas, Philander Thomas; sisters Sadie Burnette, Fina Kane, Josie Thomas, Rebecca Thomas; many relatives and friends.
His body will be brought back to his residence, 305 S. Limestone Road in Cibecue for a two-night wake starting Thursday, May 20, at 4 p.m. Home services will be held Saturday, May 22, at 10 ma.m. at the family residence in Cibecue. He will be laid to rest at the Open Range Cemetery in Cibecue.
