Funeral services were conducted at the Mars Hill Church at 2 p.m. Monday with Rev. E. B. Barton and Rev. C. C. Martin of Winnfield officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Garrett, a native of Grant Parish, spend her early years at Verda, but had been a resident of Shreveport many years prior to her death. She was a member of the Mars Hill Baptist Church.
Surviving are one son, Robert S. Garrett, Shreveport; four daughters, Mrs. C. A. Bailey, Shreveport, Mrs. H. H. Davis, Houston, Mrs. Beatrice and Mrs. Mike Daughtry, Bossier City; two brothers, B. E. Lashley, Winnfield and J. H. Lashley, Alexandria; three sisters, Mrs. J. H. Guilliams, Winnfield, Mrs. R. M. Deen, and Mrs. J. M. Corbett, Montgomery; and 10 grandchildren.
