Mrs. Shelton was born in Ray Co MO on October 19 1929, daughter of Ralph and Sadie (Mullin) O'Dell. She married Junior L. Shelton of Camden on October 23 1947 and he preceded her in death on November 8 1989.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; brother Leonard O'Dell and granddaughter Crystal Smith.
Survivors include son David Shelton and wife Clara of Excelsior Springs MO; daughter Marilyn Gayle and husband Ralph of Richmond; granddaughter Sherry A. Gayle-Smith and husband Rob of Richmond; two grandsons, Clint Shelton and wife Dora of Springfield MO and David Aaron Shelton of Richmond MO and four great-grandchildren, Kyrah and Katelyn Smith and CJ and Reba Shelton.
Mrs. Shelton was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She worked at several jobs, retiring in 1978 and was also a homemaker. She lived in the Richmond area most of her life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Richmond.
Funeral: Saturday June 19 2010, 11am at Polley Funeral Home in Richmond
Visitation: Saturday morning one hour prior to the funeral service.
Burial: Richmond Memory Gardens
