Minnie moved to Livingston at an early age and remained in Livingston the rest of her life. She was married to Arnold Jacobs for twenty-five years before he passed away.
They had six beautiful children. Minnie was also preceded in death by Welton Owen after thirty-two years of marriage. Minnie also was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Oliver Belcher and Marvin Belcher; three sisters, Bessie Wiggins, Essie Gross and Ettie Westcott; and son-in-law, Dan M. McKee.
She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Providence. Minnie was very talented at crocheting and quilting. She made many quilts for friends and family that will be cherished forever. Minnie loved to work in her yard and garden, and was known to have quite a green thumb. She loved her family, and truly loved spending time with all her children and grandchildren. "Mimi" was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family.
Minnie is survived by five daughters and one son-in-law, Thelma McKee, Mary and Putney Moore, Debbie Clack, Brenda Jacobs, and Linda Jacobs; one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Patsy Jacobs; eleven grandchildren, Kevin McKee, David Moore and wife Shelly, Mark Moore and wife, Janan, Lisa Perry and husband, Jeremy, Julie Babbs, Brandy Babbs, Bryan Babbs, Jack Jacobs and wife Somer, Amy Jacobs, Joy Jacobs and John Jacobs, sixteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and one on the way; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held beginning at 5:00 PM at Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, on Friday, January 6, 2012. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Cochran Funeral Chapel in Livingston. Bro. Michael Heuermann will conduct the services.
Interment will follow at Peebles Cemetery. Pallbearers will be seven grandsons, Kevin McKee, David Moore, Mark Moore, Jack Jacobs, Brian Babbs, John Jacobs, Jeremy Perry, and Bryce McLeod. Cochran Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
