Aubrey worked for General Motors in Willow Springs, Ill. for more than 30 years. On June 7, 1989, He married Ellen (Williams) Wilkey in Poteau. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He passed away at his home in McAlester at the age of 83. Survivors include his wife, Ellen, of the home; sons, Terry Freeman, of Shorewood, Ill., Bobby Freeman, of Wilmington, Ill., Steven Bristow, of Glen Daniels, W.Va., Sam Bristow, of Denver, Colo.; daughters, Ann Woolenwebber, of Coal City, Ill., Vicki Smoots, of Coal City, Ill., Sandra Bristow, of McAlester, and Stella Foster, of Kansas City, Mo.; sister, Audrey Stewart, of McAlester, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Bertha; brother, Wilburn Freeman, and sisters, Allie Roentz, Ola Mitchell, Edna Pickle, and Vinita Martin. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Chaney's Memorial Chapel, McAlester, with Elder Wesley Walker officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery, McAlester, under the direction of Chaney-Harkins Funeral Home of McAlester. Pallbearers include Glenn Martin, Mike Martin, Harold Stewart, Jody Green, Tommie Green and Charles Freeman. Honorary pallbearers include Thomas Hampton Jr. and Windal Muse.
